"Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown" is a 2011 American martial arts film directed by Michael Jai White. It is the sequel to the 2008 film, "Never Back Down." The plot revolves around a group of four young fighters who are competing in an underground fighting circuit known as The Beatdown. The fighters include Zack Gomes, Mike Stokes, Tim Newhouse, and Justin Epstein. They train under former MMA champion and gym owner, Case Walker (played by Michael Jai White), who himself is dealing with personal issues.
The film features a number of different martial arts including kickboxing, muay Thai, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. It also showcases a number of real-life MMA fighters such as Lyoto Machida, Todd Duffee, and Scottie Epstein.
The film received mixed reviews from critics, but was generally praised for its action sequences and fight choreography. It went on to become a moderate box office success.
